Jerry Junior Puckett, 83, of Owensville, passed away peacefully at his residence on September 16, 2025.

Born on January 13, 1942, in Hardin, KY, Mr. Puckett was the son of the late Leslie Earl and Annie (Buster) Puckett. Throughout his life, he embraced a wide range of interests and was a diehard fan of UK sports. Mr. Puckett formerly served as a member of the Rotary Club in various communities and held a deep appreciation for NASCAR, agriculture, and confectionery. Raised on a dairy farm, he later managed black Angus cattle during adulthood and maintained a membership with Maumee Church.

Mr. Puckett is survived by his son, Jerry Shannon Puckett of Owensville; granddaughter, Shae (Jared) Smith of Vincennes; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Hanna, Ethan Smith, and Paizlee Stocker; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce (Cundiff) Puckett, and his brother, Charles Puckett.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Maumee General Baptist Church in Owensville. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, with additional visitation at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday until the time of service. Interment will follow at Maumee Cemetery.
