John David Mayer, 51, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 23, 2020. He was born to Jacob and Mirium (Kerber) Mayer on September 25, 1968 in Madisonville, KY.

He was a member of the New Covenant Baptist Church in Princeton, IN. He enjoyed watching Nascar, fishing, cheering on the UK basketball team, and the Green Bay Packers.

He is preceded in death by his father Jacob Mayer and his brother Jeffrey Mayer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jodi (Busch-Hughes) Mayer of Fort Branch, IN, daughter, Christina Nyx of Henderson, KY; stepson, Joshua Hughes of Fort Branch, IN; sister, Theresa Johnson of Ashland, KY; and brother, Norman Prater of Ashland, KY.

A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date. Donations can be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
