John Seib, 94, of Haubstadt, IN passed away on Friday, January 20th, 2006 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN. He was born to the late George and Anna (Schmitt) Seib on Sept. 21, 1911 in St. Wendel, IN. Besides his Father who passed away in 1965 and his mother, who passed away in 1939, John is also preceded in death by his 1st wife, Elnora Anna Seib in 1970, 3 brothers, Albert Seib in 2002William Seib in 1979, and Clemons Seib in 1989, 2 Step-sons Arthur Holzmeyer in 1980 and Norman Holzmeyer in 1959. He was a member of St.s Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN and St. Vincent DePaul. He was retired from the Emge Meat Packing Co. in FortBranch, IN. John was also a World War II Veteran. John is survived by his 2nd wife Thelma (Koberstein) Seib and 4 children and their spouses. Sarah and Kenneth Richie of Fort Branch, IN, Dorothy Mae and James Rexing of Haubstadt, IN, Martha A. and Larry Schauss of Wadesville, IN, and Larry and Sondra Seib of Princeton, IN. Also surviving are 2 step-sons Roger and Marilyn Holzmeyer of Fort Branch, IN, and Alan and Mona Holzmeyer of Princeton, IN, also is a step daughter- Inlaw, Tana Holzmeyer. John also has 12 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, and 16 Step Great Grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 Brothers and 2 sisters Mary Wilderman of Evansville, IN, Ceclia Adler of Princeton, In, Joseph Seib of Haubstadt, IN, and Clarence Seib of Evansville, IN A mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, January 24th, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at St.s Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN, with burial in the church cemetery. Fathers Tony Ernst and Paul Ferguson will be the celebrants. Visitation be on Monday, January 23rd, 2006 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home Located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN and again on Tuesday, at the Church from 9:00 A.M. until service time. A Rosary will be recited by the church parish on Monday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. The family request that any donations be made to the St.s Peter and Paul Church or to St. Vincent DePaul.
