John R. Wilkerson Jr, 56, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 in Evansville, IN.  He was born on August 10, 1958 to the late John R. Wilkerson Sr., who passed away on July 15, 1998 and Mary (Reed) Wilkerson in Oakland City, IN.

John worked for JL Farm Equipment in Poseyville, IN for 20 years.

He is survived by his Mother, Mary Wilkerson of Fort Branch; his children James (Lori) Wilkerson of Mooresville, NC, Ryan (Ashley) Wilkerson of Paris, TN, and Sarah (Brian) Hayes of Terre Haute, IN  His 4 sisters and 1 brother, Wanda (Jack) Miller of Fort Branch, IN, Pamela (Eric) Bloom of Boonville, IN, Anita (Larry) Elpers of Owensville, IN, Tena (Tracy) Martin of Fort Branch, IN, and Carl (Diana) Wilkerson of Fort Branch, IN.  He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Vaylen and Vance Wilkerson and Sofia Hayes and a new grandbaby expected in April 2015.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, with Rev. Richard Comer officiating.   Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN.  Visitation will be on


Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home .
