Obituary

Jordan Alexander Wampler, 28, of Princeton, IN, passed away at Northwest Healthcare in Amarillo, TX. He was born on December 20, 1996, in Evansville, IN, to Scott and Amanda (Roberts) Wampler.

Jordan was a member of the IUOE Local 181 District 2 Operators Union and Local 178 in Amarillo, TX. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Roberts Boring Company before taking a position in Amarillo.

Jordan, or Gordon to his childhood friends, enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors, listening to music, and telling stories with his friends around a bonfire. He especially loved spending time with his kids and his goats—Donnie, Bandit, and Bella.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Zane and Colton Wampler; great-grandparents, Alfred and Gladys Roberts; and paternal grandmother, Debbie "Meemaw" Dill.

Jordan is survived by his girlfriend of five years and mother of his children, Destiney Nottingham; his children, Paisleigh and Paxstyn Wampler; his parents, Amanda Roberts of Princeton, IN, and Scott Wampler of Princeton, IN; his siblings, Kaylee (Paxtyn Young) Wampler, Kyle (Lauren) Wampler, Daniel (Brooklyn Meserve) Wampler, Scotty Wampler, and Jace Wampler; aunts and uncles, Chris and Dawn Adcock of Evansville, Brandon and Julie Roberts of Princeton, and Heath and Meg Dill of Newburgh; maternal grandparents, "Mam and Pap," Jeff and Missy Roberts of Princeton; paternal grandfather, Marty "Peepaw" (Cathy) Dill of Evansville; and grandparents Ricky and Rita Wampler of Owensville. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Zaxtyn Young, Elaina, Jayden, and Avery Wampler, as well as several cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN, with burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
