Karen Ann Wright, 69, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away at her home in Owensville, Indiana, on December 8, 2024. Born on February 24, 1955, in Evansville, Indiana, Karen was the daughter of Don and Joetta (Ward) Carpenter.

Karen shared a loving 51-year marriage with her devoted husband, Gerald Wright. Together, they built a loving family, raising two sons, Derek (Katie) Wright of Lanesville, IN and Brandon (Natalie) Wright of Haubstadt, IN.

Her legacy continues through her six adored grandchildren: Avery, Ethan, Sophie, Sam, Spencer, and Sydney, who affectionately knew her as "Gaga Karen." Karen was a woman of profound faith, a quality that was evident to all who knew her. Her kindness and willingness to help others were hallmarks of her character, and she never met a stranger. Her warmth and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. She is survived by her mother, Joetta Carpenter; sisters, Donna (Steve) Maple of Kokomo IN and Karlene Garrett of Carmi, IL who shared in her life's journey and cherished her deeply. Karen's family and friends will forever remember her love and compassion. She was preceded in death by Grandparents, Carl and Olive Ward; Grandparents, John and Pauline Carpenter; and Father, John "Donald" Carpenter.

Karen's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her dedication to her family. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. As we say goodbye, a celebration of life service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Vertical Church at 3:00 p.m.
