Karen Teel Stoll, 87, of Owensville, passed away on April 13, 2025, at home. She was born on October 7, 1937, to the late C. Warren "Abie" and Doris (Smith) Thompson. Karen was a proud Owensville Kickapoo, graduating in 1955. She married her high school sweetheart, Jon Teel, in 1956 and spent 49 years together until his death in 2005. Together, they raised three children: Tracey (Bob) Bender, Tim (Kim) Teel, and Todd (Sonya) Teel. Karen was blessed with more family when she married Joe Stoll in 2012 and was welcomed by his children Pete Stoll, Theresa (Kenny) Garrett, Scott (Robin) Stoll along with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never met a stranger, and had a gift of making people feel at ease when they were with her. Karen was a registered nurse, but her passion was farming alongside her husband, Jon. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Owensville and later became a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jon, brother Don Thompson, and great grandchild Taya McKinley. Karen is survived by her husband, Joe, children, grandchildren Brittany (Kyle) Attebury, Jessica Bender, Kelsey Teel, Nathan Teel, Taran (Mike) Mossberger, Tiffany (Doug) Hale, Trianna (Jeremy) McKinley, Taliyah Teel, Trista Teel and her great grandchildren Kru, Kamryn and Kai Attebury; Tate, Ty, and Tessa Mossberger; Charlotte and Josephine Hale, and two great grandchildren on the way. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, with Father Kenneth Betz as celebrant and Father Andrew Thomas as co-celebrant. Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. A burial will follow at Blythe Chapel Cemetery in Owensville.
