Kathleen R. Silkey, 78, of Fort Branch, IN passed away at Owensville Transcendant Care on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.  She was born on Dec. 29 1935 in Pike County ,IN, to the late Glen and Marie (Dimmett) Hendricks.

Kathleen worked as a medical technician for 28 years at Gibson General Hospital and several area hospitals.  She was a member of the St. John Church in Buckskin, IN, and the Princeton American Legion Women's Aux.

Besides her parents, Kathleen is also preceded in death by a brother, Ermal Ray Hendricks in 1997.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Melvin H. Silkey of Fort Branch, IN, 2 sons, Richard Melvin Silkey of Evansville, IN, David Brian Silkey of Fort Branch, IN, and a brother, Glen Hendricks Jr. of Kingman AZ.

Services for Kathleen will be on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch.  Rev. Jason Ford will officiate.  Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday .
