Kathryn Elizabeth (Rexing) Fuhs, age 97, of Snake Run, IN, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. She was born on March 26, 1928, in Evansville, IN, to Joseph and Florence (Laugel) Rexing.
Kathryn was a dedicated member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and actively participated in St. Ann’s Altar Society in Snake Run. She was honored with the Brute Award in recognition of her contributions. Throughout her life, she embraced her role as a grandma, homemaker ,and she took great joy in preparing meals for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Fredrick Fuhs; siblings Norman, Eugene, and Francis Rexing; and grandson Kyle Jennings.
She is survived by her children: Karen (Keith) Jennings of Owensville, Robert (Jenny) Fuhs of Fort Branch, David (Sarah) Fuhs of Fort Branch, and Diana (Anthony) Cox of Fort Branch. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Kurt (Mallory) Jennings, Katelyn Jennings, Jordan (Ashtin) Fuhs, Lauren (Jarrod) Crowder, Madison (Andrew) Coffman, Erica (Logan) Elpers, Ashley (Ben) Hauschild, Alissa (Brandon) Wigand, Audra (Trent) Hamlin, and Jared Cox; and great-grandchildren: Kipp and Ellie Jennings, Anna Kathryn, Sutton, Vivienne, and Caroline Crowder, Camden and Josie Elpers, Easton and Waylon Hauschild, and Maya Wigand, her brothers, Jim Rexing of Haubstadt, and Charlie (Margaret) Rexing of Evansville; and sister-in-law, Shirley Rexing of Haubstadt. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, officiated by Father Chris Forler. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home, with the recitation of the rosary commencing at 3:30 p.m. Additional visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the church prior to the mass on Friday. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville or the St. Bernard Cemetery Fund.
