Obituary

Kathryn Louise Armstrong, 85, of Princeton passed away at her home on November 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Kathryn was born to the late James and Edna (Mann) Williams on October 6, 1939 in Chandler, IN.

She met the love of her life David at a Vanderburgh County 4-H fair and married her loving husband on January 18, 1959. Together they had 5 children. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and beloved Memaw and a true matriarch to her family. She was a member of the Owensville General Baptist Church and served Gibson County on their Water Board for 20 years.  She was a caretaker to the elderly in her family and the church, and a second mom to many. As a child of God, she dedicated much of her time and talents to the church doing missionary work, singing in the choir, teaching vacation bible and Sunday school, being Sunday school director, a deacon's wife, church camp counselor, and cooking numerous dinners. She was an extraordinary cook and was best known for her famous chicken and dumplings. She was also an avid horse lover, 4-Her, brownie troop leader, and gardener. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James H. Williams, Jr.

Kathryn is survived by her loving husband David Armstrong of Princeton; children, Mark (Kim) Armstrong of Princeton, Anita (Jon) Gibson of Princeton, Judy (Jim) Adams of Princeton, Donna (Kirk) Stierwalt of Speedway, IN, and Mike Armstrong of Salvisa, KY; grandchildren, Zach (Haleigh) Adams, Josh (Kristen) Adams, Alex (Brittney) Gibson, Shawn (Paige) Gibson, Nick Gibson, Hunter Armstrong, Logan Armstrong, Will Armstrong, and Alexis Reed; 10 great grandchildren and 1 more on the way.

Funeral services will be on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN, with Pastor Donnie Truelock officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again on Monday, November 11 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Committal services will be at Clark Cemetery in Owensville, IN, following the funeral service. Donations in her honor can be made to the Gibson County Relay for Life.
