Kenneth W. Odom, 72, of Haubstadt, IN passed away at his residence on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010. He was born to the late Paul R. and Lillian (Logsdon) Odom on Oct 2, 1937 in Morganfield, KY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and was a member of the River Cities Detachment 1090. He was also a member of the Daniel Boone Gun Club, the Princeton Bowling Assoc., and the Fort Branch Alumni Assoc. He had worked in maintainance at the Emge Meat Packing Co., the Excel Corp., and Holy Redeemer Parish. Besides his parents Kenny was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Andy, Ozzie, and Martin Odom. Kenny is survived by his wife Dorothy (Meyer) Odom of Haubstadt, 2 sons and their wives, Christopher W. (Debbie) Odom of Evansville, Gregory W.(Trenny) Odom of Evansville, 6 brothers and sisters, Bonnie Young of Princeton, IN, Raymond Odom of S.C., Jerry Odom of Ft. Wayne, IN, Roger Odom of FL, Diana Blackgrave of Holland, IN, and Mark Odom of AZ. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren Tyler and Kelsey Odom. Services for Kenny will be on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, Father Tony Ernst and Father Paul Fergusen will officiate, followed by a military service conducted by the River Cities Detachment 1090. Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct 3, 2010 from 1:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. the family would like to thank VNA Hospice for their excellant care of their husband and father. The family would also ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Salvation Army, the Fort Branch Alumni or to your favorite charity.
