Larry G. Allen, 63, of Fort Branch, IN, formally of Rockport, IN, passed away on Monday, Dec. 12th, 2006 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born to the late Clyde Robert and Florence (Geer) Allen on Jan. 7th, 1943 in Spencer, Co. IN. Larry graduated from Rockport High School in 1961. Following high school, Larry entered the U.S. Navy and was stationed on Midway Island in the Pacific. He was a member of the Rockport American Legion, the Rockport Jaycees, and was a former chairman of the 8th district Young Republicans. He was also City Judge of Rockport from 1988 - 1992. Larry worked as a Branch Manager for American General. Besides his Parents Larry is also preceded in death by a sister and a brother, Judith Ayer, and Clyde Robert Allen Jr. Larry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna (Hess) Allen, 1 son and his wife, Chris and Julie Allen of Fort Branch, IN, 1 sister, Phyllis Miller of Pettisville, OH, and 3 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Grant, and Brayden Allen. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 15th, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home Located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, Reverend Rick Dominy will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday Dec. 14th, 2006 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. The family request that any donations be made to the Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
