Laura Marie Smith, 32, of Evansville, IN passed away at her home on Tuesday October 7, 2014.  She was born to Linda (Sollman) McKimmy and the late Anthony McKimmy of Fort Branch, IN.

Laura was a member of the Fort Branch First Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 2000 where she excelled in soccer. She was employed as an LPN at Signature in Newburgh, IN. Laura was a beloved mother and aunt who will be missed greatly by her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Edwin and Ina May Sollman and Charles and Mary McKimmy, father Anthony McKimmy, sister Meredith Lyn McKimmy, and a stillborn daughter.

Laura is survived by her mother Linda (Sollman) McKimmy of Fort Branch, IN, the father of her children Dusty Smith of Evansville, IN, two sons Isaiah Anthony Smith and Elijah Lee Smith, brother Brian McKimmy of Fort Branch, IN, and nephew Sawyer Brian McKimmy.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday October 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home with burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN. Reverend Corey Atkins will be officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday October 11, 2014 at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM.   In lieu of flowers please make donation checks to Linda McKimmy for Isaiah Smith and Elijah Smith Trust Fund at 5/3 Bank .
