Lillian Louise Parks, age 81, of Princeton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 28, 2026, at River Oaks Health Campus. Born on January 6, 1945, in Evansville to Granville and Thelma (Gibbs) Anderson, Lillian married Harry Parks, the love of her life, on October 28, 1961. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2019.
Lillian earned her LPN license and worked as a nurse in many hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes. She also served as a house parent for Anderson Woods group homes throughout Indiana and fostered numerous children through the Debra Corn Agency.
She is survived by her children: Nancy Drew (Otwell), Debra (John) Davis (Princeton), Janice (Dan) Sisk (Owensville), Beverly (Don) Butera (Spring, Texas), Allen (Lisa) Parks (Evansville); 19 grandchildren including Ronnie (Krista) Drew, Krisna Drew, Rusty (late Courtney) Drew, Misty (Travis) Lewis, Lance Davis (Leesa West), Logan (Kheeli) Davis, Tanya (Bennett) Royalty, Daniel (Emily) Sisk, Joshua (Jessica) Sisk, Cameron Sisk, Trey (Sarah) Butera, Travis (Maggie) Butera, Dacia Butera (Donnie Collins), Caden Butera (Kiersten McEllhiney), Lane Parks (Miki Feldpausch), Cole (Haylie) Parks, Adrianna Parks, Corbin Parks, Tiffany (Craig) Verkamp; 40 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Margaret Henson (Otwell), Claire (late Myron) Myers (Petersburg), Richard (Debra) Anderson (Washington), Bonnie Sorgius (Washington state), Vicki Schmidt (Jasper), Jeanie Toledo (Petersburg); and many nieces and nephews.
Lillian was preceded in death by her son David Parks and siblings Patsy Holt, Joyce Kiefer, Mary June Anderson, and George Anderson.
A celebration of life will be held on April 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Expressions of sympathy may be made at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
