Obituary

Lillian M. Riffert, 98, of Evansville, IN. passed away on Thursday, Oct. 8th, 2009 at Deaconess Hospital. She was born to the late Samuel and Pearl (Stone) Harmon on July 22, 1911 in Johnson, IN. She was of the Baptist faith. Besides her parents Lillian is also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Riffert, who passed away on Aug. 14, 1985, and 2 brothers, Thelman and Berthal Harmon. She is survived by 3 children and their spouses, Colleen (JL) Grayson of Evansville, Connie (Dennis) Duty of Newman Georgia, and Frank (Virginia) Riffert of Marshall MO., also surviving is a sister, Hazel (Arnold) Gieselman of Elberfeld, IN., 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Services for Lillian will be on Monday, Oct.12th, 2009 at1:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN., Rev. Bill Kellogh will officiate with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Branch. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and again from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Monday. The family would like to thank Parkview Care Center and the 5200 unit at Deaconess Hospital for their loving care of their mother.
