Obituary

Linus P Anslinger, 91, of Fort Branch passed away at Gibson General Hospital on December, 27, 2010. Linus was born on November 21, 1919 in McHenry North Dakota to the late Frank and Grace (Eble) Anslinger. Linus is a retired farmer and worked for the County Garage and Harry Martin Oil. He was a member of St Bernard Church, WWII veteran and a member of VFW Post #2714 in Fort Branch. Linus is survived by a brother, Vince Anslinger of Bakersfield CA and two sisters Irma Uebelhoer of St Pete Beach FL and Iris Torris of Louisville KY, and many Loving Nieces and Nephews. A Mass of Christian burial for Linus will be Friday, December 31, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Bernard Church in Snake Run with Father Tony Ernst officiating and with burial in the church cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted at the graveside by the VFW Post 2714. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy 168 West in Fort Branch with a rosary service at 7:30 pm conducted by the church parish. The family requests that in Lieu of flowers donation maybe made to the St Bernard Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.stodghillfuneralhome.com
