Lois K. Vessels, 89, of Fort Branch, passed away on July 31, 2025, at Envive Healthcare of Evansville, surrounded by her family. Born July 16, 1936, in Poseyville, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Wilford Emge and Jaunita Reavill. Lois graduated from Fort Branch High School in 1955 and, in 1956, married Joseph Vessels Jr.

Over the years, she enjoyed spending time with her poodle, Bo, and was known for her fondness for yard sales. Lois had a passion for collecting treasures, particularly purses, Garfield memorabilia, and sunflowers. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Branch and cherished her community while raising her family. She was also a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vessels Jr.; her son, Chris Vessels; her brother, Bob Emge; and her dog, Bo. Lois is survived by her children, Joey (Diana) Vessels of Fort Branch and Kathy Isaacs of Evansville; her grandchildren, Deanna (Bret) Keller and Cory (Julia) Isaacs; and her great-grandchildren, Chase Keller, Ty Keller, Matthew Isaacs, and Calvin Isaacs.

The family extends their gratitude to Envive of Evansville for the care provided to Lois during the last 15 months, as well as to Heart to Heart Hospice for their support in her final days. There will be a Daughters of Isabella service prior to the Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, with Father Andrew Thomas officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the church until the time of service.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
