Lois E. Sprinkle, 89, passed away May 19, 2024, at River Oaks Health Campus. She was born on March 10, 1935, In Mt Carmel IL to the late Marguerite (Yarbor) and Alva Stewart.

Lois graduated from Owensville High School in 1953 where she was a cheerleader and Football Homecoming Queen, she was a member of Owensville Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star #32. She retired after many years as an OB/GYN Medical Receptionist.

Surviving Lois are her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Ellen Sprinkle; grandchildren Audrey (Mike) Hillard and Jonathan (Monica) Sprinkle; great-grandchildren, Summer and Wesley Sprinkle; brother, Dan Stewart; Aunt Bessie Yarbor; sisters-in-law, Gail and Judy Stewart and Betty Coleman; and several nieces and nephews. Lois is also survived by her childhood and lifelong friend Billie Sharp.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Johnny P. Sprinkle; son, Garry Sprinkle; sister Sandra "Kay" Riley; brothers Fred, Gerald, Steve, and Rick Stewart.

The family would like to thank the staff at River Oaks for the care Lois received during her stay there. Special thanks to Dr. Jarod Kocher and Tammy and the rest of his staff for the kindness and dedication to the care of Lois and Johnny over the years.  Also, thanks and gratitude to Intrepid Hospice Care, especially Laurie for her knowledge and compassionate care to Lois and our family while leading us through this difficult time. Special thanks, also to family friend, Stacey Kluthe for her love for and care of Lois.

Visitation for Lois will be May 24, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch. Funeral services will be at 12:00 with Pastor Bart Newton officiating, burial will follow at White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
