Lucile W. Johnson, 88, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 11, 2021. She was born to the late Frank E. and Ethel Lucile (Neitzke) Kuhns on October 3, 1932, in Wichita, KS.
Lucile was the most caring and loving mother and grandmother possible. She was a secretary at Potter and Brumfield in Princeton, IN for 15 years and later worked for Rosemeyer Agency as a receptionist for 16 years until her retirement in 2012. She was a member of the Fort Branch United Methodist Church, a Brownie and Cub Scout leader, 4-H leader for 30 years, and was involved for many years with Youth Fellowship at church.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Dr. Eugene Kuhns and Mary Elizabeth Bartlett.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Kenneth) Kiesel of Fort Branch, IN, Connie (Larry) Hoffman of Wabash, IN, Donald (Betty) Johnson of Fort Branch, IN, Larry (Carolyn) Johnson of Fort Branch, IN, and Roger (Angie) Johnson of Fort Branch, IN; brother, James (Luan) Kuhns of Overland Park, KS; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be at the Fort Branch United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend John Baylor officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday, July 18, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to the Fort Branch United Methodist Church. Expressions of sympathy can be made at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
