Helen Marie Slaton of Santa Monica CA died on December 7, 2022. Marie was born in Evansville, IN on March 13, 1947 to the late Joseph and Mary Helen (Turner) Slaton.

She was a graduate of University of Southern Indiana with a Master in Education, and was Director of Religious Education for Our Lady of Malibu Catholic Church.

Marie loved to travel, had visited all 52 states and had been overseas. She enjoyed photography and loved her dog Tedi Tid Bit.

Marie's sister Clara Voight died in 2016. Marie is survived by her brother Alan (Patricia) Slaton, Princeton IN; sisters Patricia Meuth, Brighton, CO and Ilean (Dan) Kremer, Marysville, IN, her nieces, nephews and many friends.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on March 4, 2023, at St. Wendel Catholic Church at 10:00 AM and burial at the church cemetery.  Visitation will be at 9:30 AM till mass time at the church.
