Martha J. (Marty) Barker, 71, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016 at the Owensville Transcendant Care. She was born to the late Curtis and Beulah (Moore) Straw on May 31, 1945 in Crawleyville, IN.

Marty had worked at the Gemeca Inn in Fort Branch for many years.

Besides her parents she is also preceded in death by 1 son, Leonard Flener, also 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Lydia Farmer, Judy Bybee, Phyllis Varner, Don Straw, and Jim Straw.

Marty is survived by 3 children, Barry J. (Julie) Flener and Jeffery Ronald Flener both of Fort Branch, IN, and Russell Allen Flener of Friendsville, IL, 1 brother Curtis Straw of Owensville, IN and 1 sister Sharon Dillon of Francisco, IN.  She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Jay, Tessa, and Larry Flener, and 2 great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, Pastor Steve Akins will officiate.  Visitation will be on Wednesday Nov. 30, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
