Obituary

Marvin N. Kramer, 76, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Sept. 21, 2010 at Transcendant Healthcare of Owensville. Marvin was born on Jan. 10, 1934 in Gibson Co. to the late Noble and Emma (Kracht) Kramer. He graduated from Fort Branch H.S. in 1951 and served in the U.S. Army from 1957 til 1959. He worked at Meny's Gas and Appliance for 30 years, and enjoyed farming, fishing, and camping. Marvin was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Fort Branch, the Fort Branch Masonic Lodge # 696, the Fort Branch Order of Eastern Star # 455, the Evansville Scottish Rite, American Legion Post # 351, and the Fort Branch VFW Post # 2714. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and Kenneth Kramer. Marvin is survived his wife Georgia Louise (Jaqumai) Kramer, whom he married on Feb. 21, 1953, a daughter, Lisa Rose Burger of Fort Branch, IN, 3 sons, Kevin (Jenny) Kramer of Patoka, IN, Kelly (Ellen) Kramer and Keith (Dee) Kramer both of Fort Branch, 7 grandchildren, Kris, Katie, Kyle, Kurt, Kasey, Kelsea, amd Kendra Kramer. He is also survived by a sister, Joan (Shade) Dukes of Shelbyville, IN, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, !0:00 A.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, with Pastor John Heumann officiating, burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch. Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, where Masonic and Eastern Star services will be conducted by the Fort Branch Masonic Lodge # 696 and Eastern Star # 455. Military services will be conducted at the graveside by VFW Post # 2714. The family request that donations be made to the Masonic Lodge #696 Building Fund. The family would also like to thank the staff at Transcendant Healthcare, Dr Quentin Emerson and SouthernCare Hospice for their excellant care of their husband and father.
