Mary E. Roberts, 66, of Fort Branch, IN Passed away on Tuesday, July 4th, 2006 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born to the late Andrew H. and Bertha J. (Pfeiffer) Wassmer on Oct. 7th, 1939 in Vanderburgh, Co. IN Mary was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN. Besides her parents, Mary is also preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Wassmer in Feb. of 2004. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Don Roberts of Fort Branch, and 2 children and their spouses, Tina Davis of Fort Branch, IN, and Kristi (Kevin) Tully of Stevensville, MT. She is also survived by 4 brothers, 1 sister and their spouses. Marcus (Kay) Wassmer of Fort Branch, IN, Paul Wassmer of Owensboro, KY, Henry Wassmer of Cynthiana, IN, Henrietta (Larry) Hughes of Haubstadt, IN, and Joe (Sherri) Wassmer of Mt. Vernon, IN. Mary also has 3 grandchildren, Jessica, Katie, and Caleb Davis. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN on Saturday, July 8th, 2006 at 11:00 A.M with Father Tony Ernst the celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, July 7th, 2006 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN and again from 9:00 A.M. until 10:35 A.M. at the funeral home on Saturday morning. A rosary will be conducted by the church parish on Friday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. The family request that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to Holy Cross Catholic Church, Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
