Mary Louise Michel, 90, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on March 2, 2025. She was born to Sylvester and Mary (Scott) Weber on June 26, 1934, in Fort Branch.
Mary Lou was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run. She was a recipient of the Mother Teresa Award, member of the AARP, VFW Women's Auxiliary post #2714, and the St. Bernard Alter Society. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards on Mondays and Fridays and on Wednesdays she would frequent the Senior Center.
Mary married her first husband Paul "Pete" Williamson on September 12, 1953 and together they had 7 beautiful children. After Pete's passing on December 6, 1983, she married Arnold Michel on June 28, 1986 whom she was able to spend over ten years with before his passing on February 22, 1997.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Sylvester and Mary Genieva Weber; husbands, Paul "Pete" Williamson and Arnold Michel; daughter, Linda Folsom; stepsons, Roger Michel and Dean Estrada; brothers, Ralph Weber and David Weber; sisters, Anna Catherine McEllhiney and Janet Bickett, brothers-in-law, John Koehler, Don Allen, and Wally Bickett and; sister-in-law, Joyce Weber; and great grandson, Dean Williamson.
She is survived by her children, Karen McCloud, Paul (Faye) Williamson, Russell (Pam) Williamson, Dennis (Penni) Williamson, Susan Williamson, and Jeff (Judy) Williamson; stepchildren, Gary (Jonsie) Michel, Larry (Jo) Michel, Diane Estrada, Lois (Rick) Schmitt, Janet (Steve) Siebert, Mary (Doug) Like, and Denny Simon; daughter-in-law, Janene Miller; son-in-aw, Bill Folsom; siblings, Kenneth (Barbara) Weber, Doris Koehler, Rosalin Allen, Genevieve (Jim) Leubbers, Bob Weber, Wayne (Judy) Weber, Judy (Leo) Neufelder, Jim (Monica) Weber, Dan (Brenda) Weber Jerry (Betty Sue) Weber, Ed (Dottie) Weber, and Steve (Jean) Weber; sister-in-law, Polly Weber and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude towards St. Croix Hospice for the compassionate care of their mother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Father Gary Kaiser as celebrant. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Stodghill Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until mass time. Recitation of the rosary and VFW Auxiliary service will be on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. prior to visitation. Burial will be at St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Bernard Cemetery Fund, Riley Children's Hospital, or the Hadi Shriner Children's Hospital.
