Michael Ellis Blanton, 62, of Fort Branch, Indiana, passed away at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN, on July 18, 2022. He was born to the late Bobby Joe and Lois (Sullivan) Blanton on August 21, 1959, in Princeton, IN.

Mike graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 1978. He has worked for the Gibson County Highway Department for 40 years and retired in January of this year. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #215.

Mike is survived by his siblings, Larry (Rita) Blanton of Fort Branch, IN, and Judy (Sam) Frederick of Darmstadt, IN; nieces and nephews, Alex Frederick, Michelle Frederick, Stephanie (Edgar Marquez) Dunning, and Melissa (Di Koester) Blanton; and great nieces and nephews, Atticus, Eloise, and Foley Blanton.

Graveside services will be on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at Walnut Hill Cemetery with Reverend Corey Atkins officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, July 22, 2022, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN. Expressions of sympathy can be made at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
