Obituary

Mitzi J. Ferderber Mitzi J. Ferderber, 56, of Evansville, IN passed away at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis in on December 31, 2013. She was born on Sept. 2, 1957 in Princeton, IN, to the late Carson Jones and Martha Bell (Yeast) Conner, Also preceding her in death was a infant son, Evan James Ferderber. She was a member of the Mt Pleasant Church in Evansville and was an employee of Deaconess Hospital for 35 yrs. Mitzi joined Deaconess on December 12, 1977. She has held a variety of jobs over the years including Radiologic Technologist, Radiation Therapist, Radiation Therapy Clinical Instruction, Manager of Radiation Therapy and Certified Dosimetrist (passed the dosimetry boards in 1996). Mitzi has pretty much "done it all" for the Radiation Therapy Department. In fact she was also the first to graduate from the Deaconess Radiation Therapy Department program in 1982 (class of two). Mitzi retired in 2013. Mitzi is survived by her husband of 30 yrs, Scott Ferderber and their son Quinn both of Evansville. 3 sisters, Donnabel Whitehouse of Princeton, IN Marci (Keith) Ranes of Evansville, IN and Glenda (David) Sewell of Palm Bay FL and a brother Carson (Bernita) Jones Jr. of Ridgeway FL. Services for Mitzi will be on Sat. January 4, 2014 at Stodghill Funeral Home at 11:00 am with the Pastor Bruce Applegate officiating. Burial at a later date. Visitation will be on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
