Morris W. Bruce, 80, of Oakland City, IN, passed away at his home on March 11, 2021. He was born to the late William Morris and Mabel A, (Carlisle) Bruce on October 6, 1940 in Francisco, IN.

Morris had a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked at Potter and Brumfield in Princeton, IN for over 30 years where he retired. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 467 of Oakland City, Evansville Scottish Rite, and the Evansville Hadi Shrine. He loved to play music. If it had strings, he could play it.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Bruce.

Morris is survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Walnut Hill Cemetery with Pastor Corey Atkins officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the cemetery. Due to covid-19, masks and social distancing are encouraged. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
