Myrtle L. Martin, 87, of Owensville, IN, passed away at her home surrounded by family on November 23, 2019. She was born to the late Robert Ed and Myrtle Edna (Reid) Buck on May 8, 1932 in Beaver Dam, KY.

Myrtle retired from AMAX Coal Company as an underground coal miner. She was a member of the Easter Star, loved Jesus, and was a member of Dayspring Community Church in Owensville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Otis L. Martin, a child; George Edwin Aldridge, a brother; Vernon Ed Buck, and a sister; Averil Lee Buck.

She is survived by 2 daughters; Twanya Miller of Owensville, IN and Cindy (Dick) Casey of Beaver Dam, KY; a sister, Jewel Doyal of Centertown, KY; 5 grandchildren, John David Vaught, Tosha Marie Sisk, Rodney White, Rick Miller, and Hannah Bradley; and 8 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Scott Burr officiating. A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
