Nancy L. Thomas, 92, formerly of Princeton, IN, passed away on February 16, 2020 at Lakewood Home in Petersburg, IN. She was born to the late Eugene and Hazel (Links) Settle on March 16, 1927 in Franklin, IN.
She owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Princeton, with her husband Wilbur Thomas, for over 30 years. Nancy attended the United Methodist Church in Princeton, IN. She was a former member of the Eastern Star of Indianapolis. She enjoyed playing cards, motorcycle riding, and cross stitching.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Thomas; grandchild, Aaron Compton; and 3 brothers, William, Sam, and Ray Settle.
Nancy is survived by her 3 sons, Mark (Elizabeth) Thomas of Pendleton, KY, Randall (Susan) Thomas of Petersburg, IN, and Carl (Tami) Thomas of Princeton, IN; grandchildren, Tiffany (Ryan) Taylor, Shay (Nathan) Phillips, Brian (Jennifer) Thomas, Kimberli (Gavin) Dupps, Jason (Heather) Thomas, Kyle (Kasey) Thomas, Ashley (Jarrod) Richeson, and Jon Thomas; and 18 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday February 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, IN with Alan Houchins officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
