Nelomia Eckardt, 94, formerly of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at Heritage Center in Evansville, IN on May 8, 2020. She was born to the late John and Matilda (Timling) Heilman on November 25, 1925 in Warrick County, IN.

She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Evansville, IN. She farmed all her life and was a wonderful housewife.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Eckardt in July of 1993; 2 children, Leroy Eugene Eckardt and Mary Ann Bitts; and a brother, Arlo Heilman.

Nelomia is survived by her children, Betty (John) Hill of Medora, IN and Judy (Ron) Adamson of Fort Branch, IN; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN with Pastor Kirk Horstmeyer officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until service time. During this public viewing, masks are recommended, and social distancing should be observed. Burial will be at Parklawn Cemetery in Evansville, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Zion Cemetery Trust Fund.
