Nyda J. Irvin

Nyda J. Irvin, 81, passed away at her home on November 26, 2013 in Fort Branch IN. Nyda was born on July 8, 1932 to the late Charles P and Beatrice (Skelton) Cline in Spencer County IN. She was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ.  She loved reading, crossword puzzles, watching the Cardinals and being with her family.  Besides her parents Nyda is preceded in death by her husband Billy Irvin, on May 3, 1996. Nyda and Billy were co-owners of the Gemaca Inn,  in Fort Branch for 40 years.

Nyda is survived by her children, Randy (Julie) Irvin of Louisville, KY, Kevin (Erin) Irvin of Phoenix, AZ and Jodie (Greg) Meyer of Haubstadt, IN.  Grandchildren, Natalie (Brandon) Wright, Zachary Meyer, Tyler Irvin, Allison Irvin and Sadie Jeanne Irvin.  2 great grandchildren, Sophia and Samuel Wright.

Services for Nyda will be on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN with the Reverend Terrel Almon officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville.  Visitation will be Friday, November 29, 2013 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Stodghill Funeral Home.
