Nyla B. Allen, 89, of Fort Branch, IN went home to be with the lord on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born on Nov. 19, 1921 in Warrick County to the late Quency and Sadie M. (Hester) Brown. Nyla was a member of the Fort Branch Weslyan Church. Besides her parents, Nyla is preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Allen who passed away on Jan. 1, 1985 and a brother Clifford Brown in 2000, and Gurnade Brown in 2009. She is survived by 4 children Brenda Krieg of Fort Branch, IN, Mary Ruedlinger of Evansville, IN, Jeanette Starry of Evansville, IN, and Tonya Macer of Evansville, IN. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Norma Black of Tennyson, IN, and Linda Duncan of Evansville, IN. She also is survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Services for Nyla will be on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, burial will be in Owensville Cemetery . Visitation will be on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family request that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Fort Branch Weslyan Church.
