Oscar Swader Jr. of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2004 at the United Methodist Home in Lawerenceville, IL. He was born to the late Oscar and Mary Anna (Heuring) Swader on August 16, 1922 in Fort Branch, Indiana. He was a member of the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church in Fort Branch and the Fort Branch VFW Post 2714. Oscar was very proud of his service to his country, having served in the U,S, Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He is survived by 7 children, Steve Swader of Booneville, IN, Louella Pipher of Vincennes, IN, Jeff Swader of Fort Branch, IN, Bryon Swader of Evansville, IN, Jennifer Seay of Dixon TN., Tom Swader of Oak Park, IL., and David swader of Valdosta GA. He also has a brother and a sister surviving, Nolan Swader of Fort Branch, IN, and Kathleen Leister of Fort Branch, IN. Also 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. There will be no visitation at the Stodghill Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date.
