Othmar (Ott) L. Hasenour, 89, of Haubstadt, IN passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at his residence. He was born to the late Martin and Susan (Wagner) Hasenour on Aug. 5, 1922 in Haubstadt, IN. Ott was a retired farmer. He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN, the St. James Men's Club, the Haubstadt K of C, council # 2215 for 66 years. He was awarded the Master Farmer of the Year award in 1995 Besides his parents. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Hasenour, 3 brothers, Andrew, Bernard, and Walter Hasenour, and 5 sisters, Sister Othmar Hasenour OSB, Elnora McGuire, Francis Tieken, Marie Dietch, and Ludwina Schue. Ott is survived by a son Michael (Vicky) Hasenour of Haubstadt, IN and 3 grandchildren Lacy, Wade, and Clint Hasenour. A mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN, Father Kenneth Betz will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home, located on Hwy. 168 west in Fort Branch, IN, and again from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church on Tuesday. A Rosary will be recited by the church parish at 7:30 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Asera Care Hospice and his caregivers Mary Michel, Phyllis Schmitt, norma Callis, Alvina and Louis Knepp. The family wishes that any donations be made to the Sisters of St. Benedict or Asera Care Hospice.
