Quentin Zachariah Powell, affectionately known as Q, passed away on May 11th, 2024, at the tender age of 15. Born on December 16th, 2008, in Woodbridge, Virginia, he was the only beloved child of Laura and Tiffany Gordon. Q was in his freshman year at Gibson Southern High School. He would have been a graduate of the class of 2027. Since Kindergarten he has held strong in the ambition to become a Marine. Trips to Florida's and Virginia's beaches were the highlight of many of his summer vacations. Q was like a fish. He had no fear of swimming in deep water.

He was also a major fan of Harry Potter and enjoyed Universal Studios immensely. However, through multiple trips to Disney World he seemed to find more magic in eating a churro by the castle. When Quentin wasn't playing games, watching videos, or watching Walking Dead; you could find Q stretched out somewhere with a book or singing some random song from his eclectic list of favorites. But Q also loved anything with an adrenaline rush. From roller-coasters, to parasailing, to indoor sky diving, or climbing to the edge of Garden of the Gods: he was down for an adventure. Quentin has imprinted his beautiful smile on the hearts and memories of anyone who knew him. He will be dearly remembered for his love of practicing jokes, playing baseball, and having a heart of gold.

Quentin is preceded in death by his Grandpa Mark Gordon and Great-Grandparents Alva and Elizabeth Rostron and Bob and Doris Powell. Q is survived by his parents, Laura and Tiffany Gordon. Grandpa Randy Powell. Grandma Janet (Kenny) Buehner. Grandma Deborah Gordon, several aunts and uncles and many cousins. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 12:30 PM to service time at Stodghill Funeral Home and services are at 4:30 with Pastor Andy Payton officiating.
