Ray Beard Jr, 81, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side.  He was born on July 9, 1937 in Princeton, IN, to the late Ray and Genevieve (Jarmula) Beard.

Besides his parents, Ray is also preceded in death by his wife, Delores (Kruse) Beard in 2008, a granddaughter, Tara Reed, and 3 siblings, Marg Taylor, Betty Bruce, and Gilbert Beard.

Ray attended the Vertical Church in Fort Branch, IN.  He retired in 1992 from Alcoa Warrick Operations after many years of service.  He had also served in the U.S, Army at the end of World War II.

Ray is survived by 4 children, Tracey Beard of McCutchanville, IN, Darlene Purcell, Connie Reed, and Tim Hickrod all of Fort Branch, IN.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services will be on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN.
