Raymond V. Martin, 78, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN on July 12, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Victor and Lillian (Frick) Martin on March 19, 1940 in Fort Branch, IN.

He was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN, Princeton Knights of Columbus, and Princeton Elks Lodge. Raymond owned and operated Martin Shell Station for years and was a mechanic.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Corn.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife Phyllis (Kramer) Martin of Haubstadt, IN, son; Derek Martin of Fort Branch, IN, brothers; Bill (Nancy) Martin, Clarence (Claudette) Martin, Earl (Jo Ellen) Martin, and Jim (Cindy) Martin all of Fort Branch, IN, Roger (Katrina) Martin and Gerald (Deb) Martin both of Haubstadt, IN, and Ralph (Linda) Martin of Princeton, IN, a sister; Rosemary (John) Conner of Fort Branch, IN, brother-in-law; Jeff Corn of Fort Branch, IN, grandchildren; Kelsey (Alex) Bittner and Trevor Martin, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN with Fathers Tony Ernst and Ambrose Wanyonyi as co-celebrants. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home and again on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rosary services will be on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN. Donations can be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
