Rebecca Ann (Barrett) Marvel, 96, of Owensville passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 29, 2025.

Rebecca was born on May 26, 1928 to the late Orville and Anna (Gordon) Barrett in Owensville.

Rebecca married the love of her life on February 11, 1950 and they were together for 54 years until his passing in 2004. She absolutely loved music and playing the piano. She also loved kids, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Rebecca is survived by her 4 loving children, Gary (Pam) Marvel of Louisville, KY, Steve (Debbie) Marvel of Princeton, Jim (Sandy) Marvel of Owensville, and Judy Kruse of Francisco; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Jerry Barrett of Owensville and Rosie Dunnigan of Evansville.

Rebecca is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Marvel; a son, Danny Marvel; son-in-law, Jim Kruse; daughter-in-law, Kathy Dilbeck Marvel siblings, Francine Barrett, Robert (Geraldine) Barrett, Marilyn (Don Flint) Gwaltney, and Jeanette (Melvin) Couch; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Barrett; and brother-in-law, Earl Dunnigan.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Owensville with Pastor Bob Douglas officiating.
