Rebecca Rae (Harris) Ott, age 60, of Owensville, passed away on May 4, 2026, at Gateway, surrounded by her loving family.
Rebecca, lovingly known as Becca, was born on April 9, 1966, in Princeton to Reba (Emerson) Benson and Raymond Harris.
Becca was a life member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and an active member of Bethlehem General Baptist Church. She was involved in 4‑H for many years, first as a participant and later as a leader. She loved traveling—especially trips to the Outer Banks—was a devoted Purdue fan, enjoyed racing, and cherished time with her family above all else. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy. Becca worked for many years as an airline travel agent with Delta Airlines and most recently with Tangerine Travel. After being diagnosed early in life with a rare skin condition, she became a dedicated advocate for the Foundation for Ichthyosis and Related Skin Types.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey “JD” Ott; her children, Andrea (Michael) Kolhouse of Vincennes, DJ (Courtney) Ott of Fort Branch, and Briana (Dalton) Dellinger; her grandchildren, Harper, Korbin, Eli, Daxon, Johanna, Ada, Brynlee, and Cannon; her parents, Reba Benson and Raymond (Karen) Harris; her siblings, Mary Louise “Weiz” Baker, Elizabeth Brannan, and Kurt Barnhart; her step‑sister, Tisha Seale; special cousins and extended family, Gordon and Jane Lowry, Andy and Kristen Lowry, and Alisha and Jason Sexton; her beloved dogs, Howard and Hazel; along with several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Dylan Kent; her step‑sister, Julie Zoller; her step‑brother‑in‑law, Robert Seale; and her step-father Bill Benson.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Infusion Center at Deaconess Gibson Hospital for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethlehem General Baptist Church. Visitation will take place on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Owensville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Ichthyosis and Related Skin Types. Condolences may be shared at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
