Richard A. (Dickie) Dilbeck, 85, passed away January 30, 2025 in E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville, Florida.
He was born on October 19, 1939 in Fort Branch, Indiana to the late Herbert W. and Cecil Hart Dilbeck. Mr. Dilbeck proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a life-long member of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers, Local 4-INK. Mr. Dilbeck enjoyed watching sports, UK Wildcats, St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees.
He was an avid reader of military history and enjoyed visiting military museums and historical sites. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna F. Dilbeck and stepsons, Roderick G. Fullington and Hugh A. Fullington.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Sherry A. Rivera of Columbus, GA, Steven H. Fullington of Wausau, WI, Daniel M. Fullington of Petersburg, IN, Richelle M. Sucara of Alachua, FL and Amy L. Craig of Yulee, FL, 11 step-grandchildren and 26 step-great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-great grandchildren. A graveside service for Mr. Dilbeck will be August 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Walnut Hill Cemetery with Bob Douglas officiating. Military Honors will be at the gravesite performed by the Retired Veterans Honor Guard of Gibson County.
