Ricky Charles Staggs, 58, of Haubstadt, IN., passed away on Nov. 24, 2008 at Paoli Hospital in Paoli , IN.. He was born on Oct. 10, 1950 in Gibson County, IN.. to his late maternal father Harold Staggs and Mary Margaret (Schmitts) Staggs - Duffy. Ricky was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN.. He was also a member of the Haubstadt Knights of Collumbus and the I.B.E.W. Ricky was employed by Duke Energy, where he was a unit operator at the Gibson Generating Station in Gibson Co. Ricky is survived by 3 children, Trent Staggs of Martinsville, IN., Tyler Staggs of Sandy, UT., and Tiffany Staggs of Taswell, IN.. Also surviving are his mother and father, Margie and Joe Duffy of Haubstadt, IN., 4 brothers and 1 sister, Harold Staggs of Evansville, IN.,David Staggs of Fort Branch, IN., Donna Paul of Cynthiana, IN., Stan Duffy of Louisville, KY. and Gary Duffy of Haubstadt, IN.. He also is survived by 3 grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Monday, Dec.. 1, 2008 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Haubstadt, IN. at 11:00 A.M., with fathers Tony Ernst and Gary Kaiser, the celebrants. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation, will be on Sunday, Nov.. 30, 2008 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN., where a rosary will be recited by the church parish at 7:30 P.M. that evening at the funeral home, visitation will also be held on Monday morning at the church from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church.
