Robert O. Ashworth, 79, passed away on Sunday April 10, 2016 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN. He was born to the late Owen and Althena (Combs) Ashworth in Evansville, IN on September 27, 1936.

Robert had served in the National Guard. He was retired from Whirlpool and was a security guard for many years. He attended Fort Branch Wesleyan Church.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Genevieve Ashworth and his sister Margie Artieri.

Robert is survived by a son Jerry Ashworth of Evansville, IN, grandchildren Jerry Robert and Joseph Thomas of Evansville, IN, sisters-in-law Beverly Warren and Mary Wilkerson both of Fort Branch, IN, brother-in-law Richard Reed of Evansville, IN, and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Robert will be on Wednesday April 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Stodghill Funeral Home located on highway 168 in Fort Branch, IN followed by burial in Sunset Memorial Park in Evansville, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday April 13, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Officiating the services will be Pastor Larry Smith. Donations can be made to the National Alzheimer's Association.
