Robert K. (Hoss) Niederhaus, 74, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away on Wed. Jan. 23, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN.  He was born on Oct. 4, 1938 in Haubstadt, IN to the late Christ and Alvina Lidia (Dickmyer) Niederhaus.He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Niederhaus.

Hoss as he was known by his friends, co-workers and local funeral directors throughout Southern Indiana retired from Wilbert Vault Co. in Fort Branch, IN,  on Oct. 5, 2003 after 29 years of service, and before that he worked at Illinios Fiber in Fort Branch for 11 years.  Hoss new a lot of people and had a big heart.

Hoss is survived by 3 brothers and 3 sisters, Donald and Melvin Niederhaus both of Haubstadt, IN, Herb Niederhaus of Kokomo, IN, Joyce Smith of Mt. Carmel, IL, Valada Schultheis of Haubstadt, IN, Linda Baumgart of Paris, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Hoss will be on Sat. Jan. 26, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, Rev. Ed Naas will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Stephens Cemetery in Haubstadt, IN.  Visitation will be on Fri. Jan. 25, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.  The family request that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
