Robert E. Schuessler, 89, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at Oasis Nursing Facility in Evansville, IN on August 8, 2022. He was born to the late John and Sophia (Strueh) Schuessler on April 16, 1933, in Evansville, IN.
Bob was a member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ in Fort Branch, IN. He was a farmer his whole life and enjoyed fishing in his pond.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Georgia Ann Schuessler; daughter, Becky Schuessler; and siblings, Marcella Winstead, Arthur Schuessler, Evelyn Graper, and Mildred Miller.
He is survived by his children, Brenda (Anthony) Kiesel and Beverly (Dan) Singleton both of Fort Branch, IN; siblings, Wilma Reibold of Lynnville, IN, Jim Schuessler of Quincy, IL, and Ed (Kay) Schuessler of Winslow, IN; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Schuessler of Princeton, KY; brother-in-law, Donald Graper of Princeton, IN; grandchildren, Rob (Stacy) Singleton, Cindy (Todd) Petree, Aaron (Darla) Kiesel, and Lori (Jacob) Reinhart; 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Lucas United Church of Christ in Fort Branch, IN, with Pastor John Heumann officiating with burial at St. Lucas Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home and again on Sunday, August 14, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to service time at St. Lucas United Church of Christ. Donations in his honor can be made to the St. Lucas Cemetery Fund.
