Roger Joseph Holzmeyer, 83, of Fort Branch, passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 29, 2025, at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville.
Born to Bernard Holzmeyer and Thelma Koberstein Holzmeyer in Gibson County, Indiana, December 17, 1941.
Upon graduating from Mackey High School, Roger was inducted into the U.S. Army Reserve January 16, 1960, and was attached to the Signal Corps at Fort Gordon, Ga. He was honorably discharged on December 21, 1967. After graduating from United Electronics, he began his career at Potter and Brumfield. Through various career opportunities, he ended his career with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, in Quality Planning. He served three terms on the TMMA Board of Directors and had the distinct privilege of driving the first ceremonial off-line Tundra at the Princeton facility in 1998.
Roger was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church where he served on various committees. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Haubstadt. Roger served four terms on the Union Township Advisory Board.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by brothers Norman Holzmeyer, Arthur Holzmeyer and Alan Holzmeyer.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Marilyn Fehrenbacher Holzmeyer; Daughter Lesa Holzmeyer (Charles) Conroy of Lake Norman, N.C. And Jason (LeeAnn) Holzmeyer of Fort Branch. Grandchildren Dr. Christopher Conroy, Elizabeth Conroy, Ryan Holzmeyer, Emily Holzmeyer, and Grant Holzmeyer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch at 1:30 p.m. with Father Phillip Rogier as celebrant. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a recitation of the rosary at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow mass at St. Bernard Cemetery in Snake Run.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Honor Flight of Southern Indiana. Expressions of sympathy may be made at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
