Rose Ann Minnie Ungetheim, 79, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN, on August 14, 2024. She was born to the late Stephen Frank and Josephine Agnes (Niemeier) Bicker on December 16, 1944, in Evansville, IN.
Rose Ann was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt. She graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1962. She married the love of her life, William Ungetheim, on July 7, 1962 and quickly began building their family. Rose Ann retired as a cafeteria worker from Gibson Southern High School having worked there for over 10 years. Bill and Rose Ann travelled all over, and especially enjoyed their trips to Germany and to Italy where they were able to visit the Vatican and see the Pope. In her free time, she liked playing cards at the church, singing in the church choir, listening to country music, specifically Reba McIntire, and growing flowers.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, William Ungetheim, and siblings, Paul Bicker, Betty Lou Schultheis, and Marietta Seay.
Rose Ann is survived by her four children, Donna (Paul) Schmidt of Indianapolis, IN, Debbie Harpenau of Greensboro, NC, Charles (Sandy) Ungetheim of Haubstadt, IN, and Steven (Stacey) Ungetheim of Peoria, AZ; brother-in-law, Bob (Linda) Ungetheim of Evansville,IN; grandchildren, Jessica (Damon) Krometis, Jacob (Lori) Ungetheim, Jonathan (Rachel) Schmidt, Emily (Zack) York, Jilllian (Ryan) Vonderohe, Lauren (Austin) Bender, Jeremy Schmidt, Benjamin Ungetheim, and Levi Ungetheim; and great grandchildren, Josie, Wade, Boone, Graham, Brady, Baker, and Delilah.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Andrew Thomas and Father Phillip Rogier as co-celebrants. Visitation will be on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home and again on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until mass time at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2024, at Stodghill Funeral Home prior to visitation. Burial and committal service will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery following mass. Donations in her honor can be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
