Russell Eugene Williamson, 68, of Fort Branch, Indiana, passed away on October 2, 2026, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. He was born in Princeton, Indiana, on December 6, 1957, to the late Paul “Pete” and Mary Lou (Weber) Williamson.
Russell was baptized at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run and raised in the Catholic faith. A 1975 graduate of Gibson Southern High School, he was a lifelong farmer and worked at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana for 20 years before retiring.
Russ met his wife, Pam, on New Year's Eve 2001 and were married from August 2013 until his passing.
Russ was happiest sitting in a deer stand pursuing his passion of hunting along with other game such as moose, birds, coyotes, and others. He loved his grandchildren, and always teased them, sometimes mercilessly. He loved watching all basketball but especially the Indiana Hoosiers and Duke Blue Devils. He was loyal to his family and friends and was the first to help any of them any way they needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul “Pete” Williamson and Mary Lou Michel; his stepfather, Arnold Michel; his sister, Linda Folsom; and his step brothers, Roger Michel and Dean Estrada.
Russell is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Williamson; stepchildren, Brian (Courtney) Harvey and Bethany (Nick) Walker; step grandchildren, Drew, Sophia, and Bradley Lichtenberg, Juliet, Theodore, and Lincoln Harvey, Addison and Charlie Walker, and Emily, Shane, and Hunter Wallace; siblings, Karen McCloud, Paul (Faye) Williamson, Dennis (Penni) Williamson, Susan Williamson, and Jeff (Judy) Williamson; step siblings, Gary (Jonsie) Michel, Larry (Jo) Michel, Diana Estrada, Lois (Rick) Schmitt, Janet (Steve) Siebert, Mary (Doug) Like, and Denny Simon; sister-in-law, Janene Miller; brothers-in-law, Keith (Kim) Doades, Kevin (Marianne) Doades, and Kent (Jill) Doades; and mother-in-law, Pat Doades.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch. A private burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Linda E. White Hospice House, 611 Harriet St., Evansville, IN 47710.
