Ruth L. McNair, 97, of Fort Branch, IN passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville. She was born on Nov. 24, 1913 in Gibson Co. to the late Lemuel P. and Bertha (Gilpatrick) Brown. She was a member of the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin McNair in 1985, two sisters,Lucille Riddle, Crystal McNair, and 1 grandchild. She is survived by 4 children Don W. McNair of Foley, Alabama, Mike McNair of Richland Center, Wis., Lari McNair and Billi McNair both of South Elgin, IL. Also surviving is a sister June Ingham of Spring Green, Wis., and 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN, Pastor John Windell will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN.
