Sandra Kay (Fitzsimmons) Weber, 87, of Fort Branch passed away on November 15, 2024 after a brief illness.
Kay was born to the late Elmer and Eula (Mock) Fitzsimmons on January 6, 1937 in Mattoon, IL.
Kay married Ralph Duane Weber on December 21, 1975. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Branch. She was a former member of the Gibson Girls Red Hat Society, various card clubs, and bible study groups. Kay and Ralph moved from Dubuque, IA to Wisconsin, Indiana, and Florida. She and Ralph loved to play cards, visit with friends, and travel. Kay continued to travel after Ralph's passing and earlier this year was able to visit her 50th state with her children at her side.
Kay is survived by her 2 children, Kevin (Angie) Sparks of Fort Branch and Kelly (Jim) Goetz of Plattsmouth, NB; 10 grandchildren, Alexander Sparks, James Goetz, Jacob Goetz, Kathryn Goetz, Jason Goetz, Zach Fuchs, Kaleb Fuchs, Kendra Fuchs, Olivia Fuchs, and Nadia Fuchs; and eight great-grandchildren.
Kay is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Ralph Weber; and a brother, Elmer Fitzsimmons Jr.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at First United Methodist Church in Fort Branch at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
