Sharon Knowles Deal, 75, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at her home in Owensville. She was born to the late James Oliver Knowles and Audrie (Rust) Knowles on November 28, 1948. Sharon graduated from Owensville High School in 1966. After high school, Sharon worked at the Owensville Convalescent Center, the Lakeview Truck Stop (where she met her husband, Gerald Deal), and at Holiday Foods in Ft. Branch. She was a member of the Maumee General Baptist Church. Sharon married Gerald "Jerry" Deal on July 18, 1981. They were married for 36 years. She and Jerry lived in Owensville, and for many years, Sharon assisted Jerry's popular vegetable & fruit stand in Owensville. She even kept the produce stand going a couple years after his death in 2017. Sharon is survived by two nieces, and their families: Angie (Mark) Aubrey of Seymour, TN and Lori (Chris) Higgins of Perry, MI. She is also remembered fondly by her dear friends Judy (Ed) Hosmer, and Betty Armstrong. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and by her older brother, James Knowles, Knoxville, TN. The family will receive friends from 10am - 11am on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Maumee General Baptist Church. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. A burial will follow in Owensville Cemetery.
